The best lesson I received about photography was from my dad: "Know your camera well enough so that you can take the right shot in just a split second. The right moment will come and go in the blink of an eye." And it is so true, the window of opporutnity for many of my shots was so brief. A brief instant of authenticity, preserved in time. This is what I love the most in this art. Capturing fleeting moments that will spark a variety of emotions within us.
